That they would allow legislation like THIS to ever make it to committee, rather than quietly take the sponsor out back and beat him discourage them from ever trying with such an attempt in thefirst place.
4. Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was
legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution:

Seriously. Does anyone think that such bills have a chance of passing? It might work on the East coast where there is a liberal in every garage, or Kalifornia, but in the Midwest? Seriously, Are they THAT disconnected? Don’t they realize that bills such as these unite the people against them, and anger and alienate even those who are, for the most part, otherwise ambivalent?
And in Wisconsin:
Notice that the legislators in this instance are from more “urban” settings.
I imagine just like I posted about the four feminist/socialist reps that introduced the Missouri bill they come from the inner city areas. It's gonna be a fight in the end I guarantee it.
Could be
A: "We know it won't pass, but we want it anyway!"
B: "We know it won't pass, but maybe we can use it to press for something less."
C: Pressure from the upper levels of the Evil Party, to cause us to spend more energy in states instead of pushing back on the federal level?
Minnesota and Wisconsing are blue states. They love Obama. THey voted for Obama. THey can deal with the results of their ignorant decisions. Maybe more of the less liberal citizens will get out and vote next election.
They keep hoping to sneak one in… sigh
