Just something to think about. Having the cartridge remain in common use for 198 years is not too bad a legacy, IMO.

Not to nitpick, but it has not been 198 years for the .22rf unless he invented it the day he was botn. Stevens came up with it in 1887, that's 125 years. Still impressive.
