This is going to happen to a dog where the homeowner is armed and not cowed by the police.
And then all hell is gonna break loose…Great steaming piles of shitstorm, if you know what I mean.
We don’t know what was going through the officers mind, and we don’t know what he thought was happening. But really, this happens too often.
My grief would happen in the jail cell, after everything else had gone down… If I survived the incident. But I’m sure I’d pay the ferryman’s fee first.
This is a tragedy for all involved. But officers need to be sure they are being attacked before using deadly force, even against an animal. That is the rule that I am held to, by law, why not them?
Many of them are psychopaths. They usually start their murderous impulses with helpless animals before emboldening themselves to approach human prey.

I can't agree with "most". There are too many however.
The sad part is that those who deserve our respect fail to weed out and/or discourage the continued employment of those who don't.
The "Blue Wall" does both sides a disservice.
