Like 3 miles high cross country flying.
Like 520 miles driving worth each way…
The 340 is truly a time machine: 3 hours out, 2 hours back.

17,000 ft haze but you can see the ground. At lest the winds weren’t against me both ways this time

Haulin’ the mail at 210 knots and we even had a tailwind for once!

It was a good trip:
Hadda go up to Minnesota for some mandated-by-insurance training

It was fun though, I met some really nice people, people who do some real good for kids charities (I will probably promote that here later)….I worked my ass off in the training, but feel good about that also, I am prepared as a person can be for emergencies (I did a whole boatload of emergency scenarios, some real, like engine outs and such, single engine IFR approaches, most as real as training can be)…..and did a THOROUGH review of the aircraft systems….
The flight back was awesome, a decent tailwind, controllers were pretty good…..I asked for direct to another waypoint once and the controller laughed out loudĀ and said “Not gonna happen, nice try” ( I didn’t really expect it, but hey, if you don’t ask, it never happens)
all told. a good trip.
