The SNAP folks spend their money on other things because they get Free Food.
Once that Free Food stops, then they gotta actually, you know, spend their cash more wisely instead of nails and eyebrows and eyelashes and fake hair extensions and stuff.
But as long as they are getting SNAP benefits then they can spend it on cheap “beauty stuff”. Or beer and smokes and drugs and such.
Tax money spent so wisely, ya know?
When you gotta spend your own money then you get smarter about how you spend it…..
Remember, without SNAP benefits, People. Will. Starve.

I’ve seen baskets of groceries just loaded with empty calories and the Responsible purchase of Diet Soda, almost always by disgustingly obese people. They buy things i can’t begin to afford. Because They get it for Free.
I’ll be paying attention to the fingernails of the typical EBT types next time I’m in town. I Might call a few ManiPedi places to ask if they are busy.
