So one thing that DOGE has demonstrated is that our legislators, both Representatives and Senators, have been failing in their jobs for many years, failing to spend the monies they take (via the IRS) from their constituents in a wise manner.
DOGE has demonstrated, over and over, that USAID and many other departments have essentially squandered BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars on useless, wasteful things….Things that really don’t help anyone, either US citizens or people in other countries…..(Of course, they many well be enriching some folks who work for, or who are connected to, USAID and other Governmental (and NON-Governmental) organizations….
But it was, and is, Congress that authorized their budgets without any oversight. Billions of dollars wasted, squandered,….Money that the US government Did Not Have and instead had to borrow. Money that we, as a nation, have to now pay interest on.
Every Single Congressman (and woman) needs to be held accountable for allowing our money to be spent….foolishly. Millions for “Transgender puppet shows” in Afghanistan did not in any way help the Citizens of the US, nor Afghanistan. Tens of millions to enhance the quality of rugs exported from Venezuela were not taxpayer funds well spent.
Of course, one wonders exactly how much of that taxpayer money returned to the folks in Congress…either directly, as a Bribe, or indirectly, employing family members or other folks connected to the Congressmen (in Ghost Jobs or “Consultations”). Either way, they, the folks that authorized the spending without any supervision or oversight, need to be removed from office. All Of Them.
Will the American People do that? I honestly doubt it.
But they should.
I have come to the conclusion that the ONLY reason for the continuing resolution charade is that the budget process would have brought all of this to light.
It is right and proper that Congress should be held accountable, but it won’t be possible to do that without digging into the mechanics, the nuts-and-bolts, of who actually has run this country for the last sixty years – namely the deep-state.
One famous Democrat said of the intelligence-national security community that they have “six ways to Sunday” to get back at you, if you start turning over rocks. I am no fan of this particular individual – far from it – but in this instance, he spoke the truth.
Congress is ineffective in part because it is a captive organization whose existence has been a formality for many decades.
Indeed
But the rejection game is so rigged, it is nearly impossible for an outsider to get in. And if they do, they are quickly corrupted like the rest of them — of both parties..
Sheesh. Reelection, not “rejection”
