Remember, ladies, Chivalry works two ways. Y’all choose to not do your part, so men no longer care.

It’s not just the ladies who get the short stick. When I had the misfortune of working in the DC area for three years, I had to use a cane because of knee damage I incurred serving and protecting what turned out to be a highly ungrateful nation. I noticed that when I got on the Metro and the seats were all filled, which was most of the time, almost no one ever offered me a seat, so I started taking notes. I found that I was offered a seat about 40 percent of the time. I was never offered a seat by anyone under 30, or anyone using any electronic devices, or anyone wearing a suit. I was also never offered a seat by anyone wearing a military uniform (sorry, vets; I was surprised, too). You know who offered me their seats? Immigrants, especially Somali women who had spent the day cleaning hotel rooms, and Hispanic men who had been landscaping or roofing all day. (Roofing and cleaning hotel rooms are apparently much less strenuous than being an SES sitting in a padded chair sitting at a computer all day.) The other group who offered me their seats were female office workers in their 40s or 50s. (And, just to toot my own horn, I should say that I once gave my seat to a guy on two crutches when nobody else would.)
I don’t know if this behavior is widespread or confined to DC (or the East Coast), but it didn’t increase my love for my fellow hominids.
They ONLY want equality on ‘their’ terms.
LOL! I love it when Karma comes around to bite an ass in need of teeth marks.
