I was underwhelmed

I expected more fire, more drive, a more impressive speech.

But at the end of it, it was just “Meh”

  1. The part at beginning where Trump recounted his experience of being shot at, and his appreciation for the innocents who were wounded and died I think resonated with the audience. A lot of silence and some tears were shed. A very nice gesture to make. I did think it was odd he did not give the medical caregivers who fixed him up. Unless it was someone private who did that.

The rest – pretty much as expected. He didn’t seem to have any memory issues or stumbling as his opponent demonstrates almost by the minute. He seemed to be on point.

And 93 minutes long, all at once too. Try that Biden !

  2. he was tired, and who could blame him. but i’m encouraged b/c he mentioned the unmentionables: the green new scam, ev mandates, deportation, j6 scam, etc etc. until now politicians feared mention of any of those less they face cancellation.

  3. Trump had a rough week, to say the least, and I can see how a “come to Jesus moment” might mellow the likes of Trump. I truly hope he doesn’t lose any of his characteristic steam and drive. Otherwise he’s just going to be a guy on the bus…

  4. Trump last night is definitely not the Trump from a week ago. He has changed. Something that frequently happens to people,e who have “seen the elephant”.
