Isn’t Race and Gender based hiring discrimination illegal?

I mean, If I say that I will not hire women, or gay people, or black people…..wouldn’t that be illegal?

How about if I turn that around? United Airlines says it will adjust hiring practices until 50% of their trainees are women and minorities in the next decade….

Why isn’t this sort of thing illegal?

Or is it ok to discriminate against whites and men?

  1. You know the answer-it’s perfectly acceptable to discriminate against whites and men. Bonus points if the subject is both. Double bonus points if they are from the South.

  2. I should probably meme this for better effect: Anyone who judges diversity by the number of skin colors in a group and distribution of men and women is, in fact, racist and sexist.

And the fact that so many people would shun this thought means that those yelling the loudest about ending racism are perpetuating it instead.

  3. How about we hire the best person for the job, regardless of…anything.

    Rayyyyyciiiiist!
