As SCC says, and I agree…What about the damage he did to his victims?

This should be a punishment, and an incentive for others to NOT DO THE SAME. A disincentive to do similar crimes. The punishment should hurt, and should be scary.

Personally, I like the idea of public hangings. Within a year of the first conviction.  Fast track the appeal, and either find the accused not guilty go or hang him. Publicly. That will be a deterrent to others who might commit similar crimes.

GM , the Obama administration, and, apparently the inept reporters think so.

$52 billion (yeah, BILLION) in loans. (from the US Government) plus 9+ billion from the Canadians.

They repaid 8.1 billion cash. You do the math.

Seems to me that they have a small issue to resolve before they can claim that the loans are repaid.

But then again, I am not a “nuanced” sort of guy like the reporters claim to be….

My training is as an engineer, where the math says what it says, and there are no phantom things like in finance.

So perhaps I am missing something. It would seem to me that there is somewhere on the order of $42 billion yet to be repaid (plus interest) yet to go before the debt is settled.

Inspired by THIS, The idea is to have a stamp made and stamp all of your currency. Then spend such currency normally.

Suggested messages:

Support your local TEA party.

Less governmnt.

Smaller government, lower taxes.

reclaim personal accountability.

Vote ’em all out.

I am seriously thinking this would be an excellent stealth marketing campaign. People might not even notice it, but would, nonetheless, subliminally  still see the message.

Seems that  no one really knows what the actual cost of the Screw With the Best Healthcare in the World Affordable HealthCare Act will be.

All the numbers presented were, well, realistic made up.

So everything that they lied to told us about Obamacare was just so much steaming excrement. And now that it is signed into law, the rest of us are supposed to swallow it.

Again: it is a good thing that dueling has gone out of style in this country, or the seconds of our senators and congresspersons would be very busy lately.

And dawn might be a less peaceful time of day.

Of course, that’s only if we fail to bring government and debt under control, reign in the unions, and embark on protectionist trade policies.

In other words, if we re-elect Mr Obama and his minions in the senate and house, and allow them to continue their policies.

Yep, I am talking about illegal Immigrants (undocumented lawbreakers).

Seems Arizona wants to do something about it and some hispanic lawmakers are more loyal to other of their race than to the laws of the country or to the oath that they swore when they were elected.

If they care more about those lawbreakers than  the law, perhaps they are not qualified to be in the position they currently occupy.

If they get their say, then it should lead to an interesting 10th amendment court case.
